3, 2, 1…Action!

“3, 2, 1…Action!” is a ground-breaking international youth exchange, which brought together in Molodechno 42 young people from Luxembourg, CZ, Italy, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Belarus.

This project during 8 days activities was focused on intercultural learning of young people through short video films. This was a fantastic tool to empower young people and give them the opportunity to think, reflect and react about themes like European culture/s, European citizenship, intergenerational solidarity, racism and xenophobia, problems of young people, etc. In all these subjects interculturality played a big role and non-formal education was a very interesting method to work on. A lot of effort was put to produce high quality films about all these topics concerning young people.

These movies can be used after on local level and by the partners. But even more important was the process of creating the movies. Participants came together from various backgrounds and cultures, with different experience and points of view.

They had an opportunity to discover the intercultural richness through interactive methods and using the video. Young people shared and presented their cultures and used intercultural dialogue as a tool to understand their own backgrounds and realise their European identity. They showed the products of the exchange, their short video films, to the local community at the end of the project during a public performance promoting Youth in Action programme, intercultural learning and non-formal education and methodology which will be used in future activities on local and international level.
